Holiday Season

November 3rd marks a unique day for me. It is the earliest time ever that I have started Christmas shopping. Granted I only bought 2 small gifts and 3 stocking stuffers, at least I started and I have a good start on the rest of the list for my little girl.

I officially was put in the holiday spirit during an impromtu stop at the local retail store. Since my daughter was in another part of the store with her dad, I skipped over to the holiday aisle and found the exact color of glass ornaments I scoured for all last year. Plus, I found a brand new color "copper" to go along with it. I must buy more colored lights because I never have enough - but that will be this weekend. I always save some of my birthday money to buy new things for the tree.

I must also admit, that the earliest I have ever put up the tree was on Nov. 1st. But I haven't done it yet. I bet I will by the 15th. I will have all the ornaments sorted and will have decided which ones will go on the tree this year.

I wait for the spirit to catch me and then I am off and running. I just wish I had more money at my disposal. I could really knock out the rest of the shopping!
